Evening Visit to Masaya Volcano: A Unique Nicaraguan Experience
Only 45 mins away from us, Masaya Volcano offers you the unique opportunity to take a peek inside a live volcano. There is no hiking during the evening visit, you drive up to the crater to witness this natural wonder. For most people, this is usually a once in a life-time experience.
This visit also includes an optional stop at Masaya Market on the way to the volcano, for anyone wanting to get some souvenirs (Masaya is the national capital of arts and crafts!).

Half-Day Hiking Tour of Mombacho Volcano
The extinct Mombacho Volcano offers several hiking opportunities (from a mild 1.5 hours self-guided walk to a more challenging 3-4 hour guided hike) after you are transported to the top in a former army truck.
The highest regions of the volcano are home to a cloud forest and dwarf forest, which contain flora and fauna endemic purely to the area. The views on a clear day are breathtaking.

Introductory Freediving Course at Laguna de Apoyo
This is an introductory half-day course that will teach you the fundamentals of freediving at Laguna de Apoyo’s very own Freediving School.
The classroom session will cover topics like breathing technique, equalization technique, equipment, physiology and safety.
You will then practice these techniques up to 5m depths in the open water. After completing the course, your confidence and experiences as a snorkeler will be greatly enhanced, enabling you to trust your abilities and stay safe in the water.

Tour the Horse Rescue Center and Explore the White Villages
This is a very unique opportunity to visit the only horse rescue sanctuary in the country: learn more about all the horses (formerly victims of a life of cart pulling) and the the efforts of the team of volunteers that work tirelessly to give this creatures a better life in freedom. This tour includes a small donation for the center.
After this visit, head over to the two most famous Pueblos Blancos (White Villages): Catarina with its tradition of plant nurseries and San Juan de Oriente, famous for its pottery.

Explore the Colonial City of Granada and Las Isletas by Boat
The colonial city of Granada, one of the oldest in Central América, is a must see.
Spend the first half of the day exploring its historic corners, and then relax in the afternoon on a small boat tour around "Las Isletas" in Lake Nicaragua, the small islands created from the explosion of the nearby Mombacho Volcano thousands of years ago, which will be the perfect finishing touch for a wonderful day of cultural immersion.

Full-Day Trip to San Juan del Sur and Sunset Catamaran Sail
This full day tour takes you to the once sleepy fishing village of San Juan del Sur, known these days as the surf capital of Nicaragua.
You will first be taken up to the Christ Redeemer statue that overlooks the bay, which is the second biggest statue of Jesus in the American Continent. You will then have time to explore this popular beach town, before heading over to the port to board your catamaran for an afternoon sail along the Emerald Coast (open bar and snacks on the catamaran are included).
