Villa Laguna offers 7 ensuite rooms, accommodating up to 20 guests comfortably. Whether you prefer stunning lake views or a serene forest setting, our rooms are designed for ultimate relaxation and comfort.
2 Lake View Suites with Private Balcony (Triple Occupancy)
Each suite features two queen beds and one single bed, a private bathroom with hot water, ceiling and floor fans, and two sets of double French doors leading to a private balcony with direct lagoon views. Ideal for families or groups, these suites offer space and tranquility.
2 Lake View Rooms with Private Patio (Double Occupancy)
These rooms are equipped with two single beds that can be combined to form a king, a private bathroom with hot water (powered by a solar panel), wall and floor fans, and a set of double French doors opening to a private covered patio with lagoon views. Perfect for couples seeking a peaceful retreat.
3 Forest Rooms (Double Occupancy)
Nestled in a serene forest setting, each room includes two single beds that can be pushed together to form a king, a private bathroom with hot water, and ceiling and floor fans. These rooms provide a cozy and comfortable stay, surrounded by nature.

Our kitchen is seamlessly integrated with the living and dining room, creating a cozy and communal atmosphere. This space has modern appliances and cable TV. It also has a library with books and playing cards, hammock chairs, and a guest bathroom.
You’ll also enjoy our outdoor rancho overlooking the stunning Laguna de Apoyo. This area features a grill, a brick oven, ample seating, and large hammocks perfect for napping to the sounds of birds, monkeys, and lagoon waves. The rancho is ideal for hosting parties, workshops, and group activities. Just below, you'll find a ping pong table for some added fun.
The crown jewel of Villa Laguna is our multipurpose waterfront deck. Fully equipped for yoga practice, it offers breathtaking views of the Laguna, especially during sunrise. This multi use area can also be used for exercise, meditation, or as a workshop space. On the second floor, treat yourself to our massage services for ultimate relaxation.
Our well-kept gardens, overlooking the lagoon, provide several areas for relaxation. Traditional hammocks and lounge chairs are scattered throughout for your comfort. Just a few steps away is the beach, where you can swim in the warm, clear volcanic waters, which stay at a pleasant temperature year-round.

The rate varies depending on the season and number of guests. Get in touch with us with your planned dates and group size and we can confirm it with you. Rate starts at $195 USD for up to 6 people and $15 USD per additional person, up to 20 people. Kids under 2 years old don’t pay, and over 2 yo pay the same as adults.

Yes! We are happy to accept pets for a fee, as long as they don’t go up in beds or sofas.

Villa Laguna is currently accesible by most vehicles, including minivans and mid-size buses (Coasters).

That’s completely up to you! We are located in a super quiet area of the Laguna de Apoyo, which means that if you want silence, you will have it, and if you want to make noise you will not be bothering anyone else. Fireworks, however, are not allowed as they really stress out the local fauna and pets.

No, there is no pool. Villa Laguna has direct access to the beach, which offers shallow waters perfect for kids, adults and pets.

A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to secure your reservation. This deposit can be paid by bank transfer or by Paypal. The remaining payment can be made upon arrival in cash, with card, Paypal or bank transfer.
In the case of cancellation, the first 50% deposit is non-refundable. If you need to change your dates, we reserve the right to allow you to, depending on the time of the year, demand, and the amount of notice you give us for this change request.

Is Villa Laguna the right rental property for me?
It is for you if:
You truly love time in nature and enjoy the opportunity to live in a rustic yet boutique space at the shore of a crater lagoon.
You love remote, secluded spaces that allow you to have the amount of silence and quiet you want, or alternatively, to make the noise you like without bothering anybody.
You want to be based right by the water and have access to a public (yet feels like private) beach by walking 3 minutes.
You want to explore and hike around the Laguna de Apoyo Natural Reserve: we have the most amount of fauna sightings in the area and access to a few hiking paths that are suitable for all levels of fitness.
You want to be well looked after. Our team is here to serve you and we do everything in our power to make your stay as enjoyable as possible.
It is not for you if:
You are looking for a luxury stay. Villa Laguna is a homely property built with mostly eco-friendly materials that offers clean and comfortable accommodation in a unique setting, for a boutique experience. There is no A/C in the property.
You have pet dander allergy. We have 10 rescue cats and 4 rescue dogs onsite, and we also accept outside pets to stay from time to time, so although we keep everything very clean, it would be foolish to say it is a pet free environment.
You don’t like bugs or other little creatures that come inherently with living in nature. It is not all cute monkeys and fireflies when you live in a Natural Reserve. We do our best to try to keep any unwanted companions at bay, but you might have to encounter one at some point and we hope you will be super cool about it :)
You want to be going out of the property a lot. Villa Laguna is set in a privileged secluded location within the Natural Reserve, which is perfect for some, but perhaps not for those who want to going places all the time while they are here.
