Villa Laguna is an exclusive villa for rent located in a secluded area of the Laguna de Apoyo Natural Reserve in Nicaragua.
With capacity for up to 20 people in seven comfortable rooms and direct access to the beach, Villa Laguna is the perfect space for families, friends and groups looking to enjoy the best that Laguna de Apoyo has to offer, in total privacy.

About the Rooms
There are 7 en-suite rooms which can comfortably accommodate up to 20 guests (5 people in each of the two Lake View Suites and 2 people in each of the other five double rooms)
2 Lake View Suites with Private Balcony (Triple Occupancy)
Each suite is equipped with two queen beds, one single bed, private bathroom with hot water, ceiling + floor fans and two sets of double French doors which lead to private balcony with direct views of the lagoon.
2 Lake View Rooms with Private Patio (Double Occupancy)
Each sleep double occupancy. Each room is equipped with two single beds (which can be pushed to form a king), private bathroom with hot water (from a solar panel), wall + floor fans and a set of double French doors which lead to a private covered patio area with direct views of the lagoon.
3 Forest Rooms (Double Occupancy)
Each room is equipped with two single beds (which can be pushed to form a king), private bathroom with hot water and ceiling + floor fans.
About the Open Spaces
Our kitchen is integrated with the living + dining room, creating a homely feeling and giving everybody the opportunity to be together. There is cable TV, a library with books and playing cards, hammock chairs and a guest bathroom in this area as well.
You also have an outdoor rancho overlooking the Laguna de Apoyo that offers a grill, a brick oven, plenty of sitting space and big hammocks to nap with the sound of birds, monkeys and the waves of the Lagoon. This space is also great for parties, workshops and group activities. Right below there is a ping pong table for your enjoyment.
The crown jewel is the multipurpose waterfront deck which is fully equipped for yoga practice and overlooks the Laguna for the most amazing sunrises. This area can also be used as an exercise, meditation or workshop space. On the second floor, massage services are offered if you are interested in treating yourself!
Let’s not forget that ample well kept gardens overlooking the Lagoon await for you as well. Traditional hammocks and lounging chairs can be found scattered around for your comfort. Access to the beach is only a few steps away. You can enjoy a swim in the clear warm volcanic waters any time, as the temperature remains the same all year around.

The rate varies depending on the season and number of guests. Get in touch with us with your planned dates and group size and we can confirm it with you. Rate starts at $165 USD for up to 4 people and $15 USD per additional person, up to 20 people. Kids under 2 years old don’t pay, and over 2 yo pay the same as adults.

Yes! We are happy to accept pets for a fee, as long as they don’t go up in beds or sofas.

Villa Laguna is currently accesible by most vehicles, including minivans and mid-size buses (Coasters).

That’s completely up to you! We are located in a super quiet area of the Laguna de Apoyo, which means that if you want silence, you will have it, and if you want to make noise you will not be bothering anyone else. Fireworks, however, are not allowed as they really stress out the local fauna and pets.

No, there is no pool. Villa Laguna has direct access to the beach, which offers shallow waters perfect for kids, adults and pets.

A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to secure your reservation. This deposit can be paid by bank transfer or by Paypal. The remaining payment can be made upon arrival in cash, with card, Paypal or bank transfer.
In the case of cancellation, the first 50% deposit is non-refundable. If you need to change your dates, we reserve the right to allow you to, depending on the time of the year, demand, and the amount of notice you give us for this change request.

Is Villa Laguna the right rental property for me?
It is for you if:
You truly love time in nature and enjoy the opportunity to live in a rustic yet boutique space at the shore of a crater lagoon.
You love remote, secluded spaces that allow you to have the amount of silence and quiet you want, or alternatively, to make the noise you like without bothering anybody.
You want to be based right by the water and have access to a public (yet feels like private) beach by walking 3 minutes.
You want to explore and hike around the Laguna de Apoyo Natural Reserve: we have the most amount of fauna sightings in the area and access to a few hiking paths that are suitable for all levels of fitness.
You want to be well looked after. Our team is here to serve you and we do everything in our power to make your stay as enjoyable as possible.
It is not for you if:
You are looking for a luxury stay. Villa Laguna is a homely property built with mostly eco-friendly materials that offers clean and comfortable accommodation in a unique setting, for a boutique experience. There is no A/C in the property.
You have pet dander allergy. We have 10 rescue cats and 4 rescue dogs onsite, and we also accept outside pets to stay from time to time, so although we keep everything very clean, it would be foolish to say it is a pet free environment.
You don’t like bugs or other little creatures that come inherently with living in nature. It is not all cute monkeys and fireflies when you live in a Natural Reserve. We do our best to try to keep any unwanted companions at bay, but you might have to encounter one at some point and we hope you will be super cool about it :)
You want to be going out of the property a lot. Villa Laguna is set in a privileged secluded location within the Natural Reserve, which is perfect for some, but perhaps not for those who want to going places all the time while they are here.
