Villa Laguna is located in a secluded area of the Laguna de Apoyo Natural Reserve, a caldera of a collapsed volcano with some volcanic activity still present beneath its surface. The "Support Lagoon" offers the unique opportunity to swim in its healing waters, surrounded by tranquility yet close to Nicaragua’s must-see highlights.
Our villa accommodates up to 16 guests (potentially 20 depending on bed occupancy) and boasts a privileged location on the lagoon's shore. This secluded oasis ensures privacy, making it the perfect setting for creating lasting memories with your group.

The water is full of minerals, so its great for your skin, but other wildlife (crocodiles) can’t live in it. We did a week long meditation retreat here and it was perfect for us. It is not for you if:
You’re looking for a luxury stay. Villa Laguna is a cozy, eco-friendly retreat that offers clean and comfortable accommodation in a unique and authentic setting. While we don’t have A/C, we do have plenty of fans to keep things breezy!
You or someone in your group has a severe pet dander allergy. We share this space with 9 rescue cats and 4 rescue dogs (and sometimes welcome outside pets, too). We keep everything very clean, but if pet hair is a serious health concern, this may not be the best fit.
You’re not a fan of bugs or other little creatures that come with nature. Living in a nature reserve means more than just cute monkeys and fireflies. We do our best to keep uninvited guests out, but every now and then, you might have a tiny surprise visitor. We hope you’ll be cool about it!
You expect everything to be just like home. We truly go the extra mile to provide a smooth and comfortable experience, but keep in mind—Villa Laguna is located in the crater of a volcano, in a developing country that’s had its challenges. Some things that seem standard where you’re from might be a little different here. Embracing the adventure is part of the experience!
